CINDY AYD

“I consider my strengths to be having a very keen eye to detail, and problem solving. So much of making jewelry is problem solving.”

Jewelry has been a lifelong passion of Cindy’s. When she was in her early 20's she attended Bowman Technical School in Lancaster Pa. There she learned the skills of working in fine metals and diamond setting. In 1980 Cindy graduated with a certification as a Bench Jeweler. From there she worked at the bench doing repairs, custom pieces, stone setting and restoration of antique jewelry. Cindy did this work off and on for 40 years.

2019 life changed and Cindy was introduced to a school by the Bay Bridge called Charmtree Jewelry Studio. There she learned how to work in Sterling Silver. Cindy instantly fell in love with this metal. It was so different from what she was used to and it allowed her to be more creative and have fun with it.

From there, Cindy started traveling and taking classes all over the U.S.A. with some of the best teachers that the industry had to offer.

“I now do a lot of my work in a metal called Argentium Sterling Silver. It has a higher silver content of 940. It is a whiter color and has very little copper in it. Since there is very little copper in it, it is Hypoallergenic.”

Cindy considers her strengths to be having a very keen eye to detail, and problem solving. So much of making jewelry is problem solving.

Thank You for taking the time to read my bio. I hope you enjoy my work.
